Minors in Chemistry (20-21 credits)
Students majoring in another field may minor in chemistry by completing one of the following two course sequences:
- Analytical--Organic Option (20 credits)
- CHEM 121 --General Chemistry I OR
CHEM 201 --General Chemistry for Scientists and Engineers I (4 credits) - CHEM 122 --General Chemistry II OR
CHEM 202 --General Chemistry for Scientists and Engineers II (4 credits) - CHEM 330 --Analytical Chemistry (4 credits)
- CHEM 341 --Organic Chemistry for Scientists and Professionals I (3 credits)
- CHEM 342 --Organic Chemistry for Scientists and Professionals I (3 credits)
- CHEM 345 --Organic Chemistry Laboratory (2 credits)
- Biophysical--Organic Option (21 credits)
- CHEM 121 --General Chemistry I OR
CHEM 201 --General Chemistry for Scientists and Engineers I (4 credits) - CHEM 122 --General Chemistry II OR
CHEM 202 --General Chemistry for Scientists and Engineers II (4 credits) - CHEM 341 --Organic Chemistry for Scientists and Professionals I (3 credits)

Deviations from these sequences are possible with approval of a chemistry advisor. Minimum requirements are a total of 20 chemistry credits, including nine upper-division credits and a two-credit organic chemistry laboratory course.
